High Intensity Athletic bootcamp

 

Super-efficient HIIT, High Intensity Interval Training, is the ideal workout.

This HITT training alternates between intense bursts of activity and fixed periods of less-intense activity or even complete rest. The key element of this class that makes it different from other forms of interval training is that the high intensity intervals involve maximum effort of all muscle groups.

  • $15/Class. Bring water & a towel
  • Conditions your anaerobic and aerobic energy systems, with all-out efforts in resistance and cardio .
  • Increases the amount of calories you burn during your exercise session and afterward because it increases the length of time it takes your body to recover.
  • Will limit muscle loss that can occur with weight loss, in comparison to traditional steady-state cardio exercise of longer duration.

Clear your schedule! This is hands down one of the most heart pumping and intense Zumba Fitness Classes you will ever have worked out in.

Cardio should be an average of 25% of your weekly routine. Higher intensity classes offer the opportunity to burn more calories & engage more muscle groups. Pick up the intensity, drop the pounds and increase your muscle definition.

SPEED & EXPLOSIVENESS

Speed is the quickness of movement of a limb, whether this is the legs of a runner or the arm of the shot putter. Speed is an integral part of every sport and can be expressed as any one of, or combination of, the following: maximum speed, elastic strength (power) and speed endurance.

How is speed influenced?

Speed is influenced by the athlete's mobility, special strength, strength endurance and technique.

We are OBSESSED with Abs & Butts!

We are obsessed with these two areas of the body, glutes and abs. If an alien landed on earth and knew little of our culture, it would quickly assume that a firm butt and tight abs are worth more than gold. Think of the way you look at someone with a tight butt or flat stomach. To help accelerate your progress, I've constructed a variety of great abdominal and butt exercises.

Intense Athletic Fitness Class in Central Park May - September

Every SATURDAY we will work into shape with a max-interval bootcamp-style workout, with a dynamic stretching warm-up and cool-down. One hour long, sport performance inspired bootcamp style training. You can expect to tone, tighten and strengthen your body. 

  • $20/Class. Bring water, a mat, a towel
  • Body weight exercises, Medicine Balls & Resistance Bands, Variations of plyometrics, Core/Abdominal exercises, Short Running & Agility Exercises
  • Class Minimum: 6   —   Class Limit: 18
